Appleby Creamery, established in 2007
Our range of products is the result of a collaboration between Mark our Dairy Farmer and Maurice our Cheesemaker.
Maurice is an artisan cheesemaker and currently produces a range of cheese from the creamery in Appleby, Cumbria in the North of England. He is ably suported by a team of dedicated cheese makers who have been with the business since their teens and were trained by former founders of the business, they were originally employed as apprentices.
This expertise and experience combined with the highest quality ingredients makes the Appleby Creamery cheese an amazing range of products which we are hugely proud of and we know you will enjoy.
Our Dairy Farmer
Mark is the 4th generation of Callanders to farm at Crofthead, in Dumfriesshire Scotland.
He has spent the last 20 years developing and nurturing his Ayrshire herd with great skill and expertise to produce the best possible milk from which our cheese is made.
He is also a leading protagonist of sustainable milk production and has several eco-friendly installations on the farm including wind turbines, a biomass boiler and anaerobic digesters linked to the gas grid in collaboration with a business that is harvesting carbon dioxide as dry ice
